Majority Believe We Can’t Win in Afghanistan

A recent Decima Research poll indicates that 59% of Canadians believe that the war in Afghanistan is unwinnable. I personally take that to mean that 59% of Canadians polled under estimate the ability of our Canadian troops.
I think some of those Canadians needs to take a hard look at history, they might just realize that Canadian troops have often done the seemingly impossible throughout our history. Next year, Canada observes the 90th anniversary of the seminal battle which is often referred to Canada’s coming of age — the battle of Vimy Ridge. Ignatieff leads at end of Super Weekend

So, the Liberals have wrapped up their ‘super weekend’ which is the voting for the delegates to attend the Liberal leadership convention. It was no surprise that Ignatieff currently is leading the pack in support from the delegates at about 33%. Read the rest of this entry »
