You're sentiments about the untold costs of war are very true but I have to take a bit of an objection to your reference to veterans destroying loved ones and society. The struggles of the veteran to fit back into a society expecting him/her to just put their traumatic experieces behind them is what destroys, not the veteran. Thousands of veterans manage to harness their experiences into being a tremendous support to the society they live in. One needs to be careful of generalities.

The Price for War

War is costly and deadly.
Some soldiers do not die in body...
They die in spirit and soul.
Then they are sent back home...
Veterans
Destroying loved ones and society
Those very ones who kept hope alive
For their lives. How sad!
War is not only deadly, but costly.
Even after the fact...
